| The Block Health Science Building is named in honor of Dr. Paul Block, the first chairman of the MUO Board of Trustees. |
Most of the investigators in the Cancer Center have laboratories occupying contiguous space in the Block Health Science Building.
Investigators at the center have access to institutional facilities such as a
Bioinformatics Core Laboratories. This facility includes microarray and proteomics services. The core facilities also include an NCI-supported standardized
gene expression analysis facility, as well as microscopy and flow cytometry services. Center investigators also have access to shared resources in the
Department of Biochemistry and Cancer Biology.
