The Quality Management Department strives to promote continuous improvement of quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness of patient care and safety in an academic environment through retrieval, collection, analysis, and dissemination of valid and reliable clinical and patient outcome data.
The Quality Management Department also provides support services to individuals and teams working to identify and implement initiatives to enhance the quality of healthcare delivered by the University of Toledo Medical Center to the surrounding community.
In support of the mission of the University of Toledo Medical Center, the department provides education to physicians, residents, staff, and others on aspects of performance improvement processes and the use of clinical data in decision making.
